Darin

Darin was born in Rock Island, IL and grew up in Quincy, IL. He is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army as Lightweight Wheeled Mechanic and later, Special Forces Communications Sergeant assigned to 1st Special Forces Group, in Okinawa, Japan.

In 2015, Darin was assigned to the Special Warfare Education Group at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. He served as the Signal Section Supervisor and Information Systems Security Officer. Darin has extensive experience work in non-permissive environments like Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, he has partnered companies and agencies in educational and training technologies.

In 2016, Lieutenant General Kenneth Tovo, Commanding General, United States Army Special Operations Command selected Darin to meet with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to demonstrate a first-of-its-kind augmented reality library and weapons system. Darin designed and developed the system to provide point-of-need book applications and reviews and the visual representation of weapons assembly and disassembly. Before retiring from the military, Darin created the Cyber Lab for the 1st Special Forces Group Cyber Detachment; the largest Cyber Lab in Army Special Forces.

He is currently enrolled in a Cybersecurity graduate program with Excelsior University.
